Clayens Mexico reports record results from its expansion project!
Located in a dynamic region (Coahuila) and benefiting from close proximity to its customers' manufacturing sites in Mexico and the USA, the Clayens Mexico site, which launched its expansion project barely two years ago, is already reporting very positive results from this achievement.
This new building was constructed in 6 months from project launch. It includes 2 new manufacturing areas (thermoplastics/thermosets), a new 15-person maintenance workshop and a new metrology area. In addition to these production-related areas, this extension includes a 3,500 m² logistics zone.
In just a few months, the Clayens Mexico site was able to install nearly 45 new presses in Torreón: the first 20 presses were installed in early 2022 as part of a full workshop transfer for aerospace, and the other 25 were installed subsequently to support growing customer demand. The site now has 87 injection molding presses.
The challenge also extended to Human Resources, both management and production staff.
"The first press in the extension did indeed arrive exactly six months after the groundbreaking, as we had committed, and even our customers were surprised by this achievement!" explained Gerard DIDIENNE, General Manager of Clayens Mexico. "We have a real strategic asset for our customers and we continue to see demand grow. We also have other expansion projects under study, notably to increase our healthcare capacities in ISO7 and controlled areas."
