We support all of our clients and ensure the safe development of their railway equipment, regardless of their sector of activity (infrastructure, onboard equipment, exterior and interior trim parts, etc.), whether they are private or public organizations.
Our recognized expertise in the implementation of thermoplastics, thermosets, composites, and metals enables us to provide a comprehensive and tailored support, in compliance with international regulatory requirements (EN 45545, ISO 9001, Ecovadis Silver Medal, etc.).
We are a trusted partner to our clients at every stage of their system development: design, prototyping, industrialization, qualification and validation, through to production.
With more than 25 sites across 9 countries, our group has an international presence that allows us to effectively support your railway projects.
CLAYENS’ offering for the rail sector
A comprehensive and tailor-made offering to support the development of your innovative projects
Research & Development
Our multidisciplinary R&D team is able to support you at every stage of your project’s development, from concept to market launch.
Industrialization
We industrialize our partners’ projects by developing tailor-made processes to transform materials, assemble, and qualify rail equipment.
Qualification and validation
Our products are developed and manufactured in compliance with international railway standards requirements (EN45545).
Production
Our core business is the production of technical and aesthetic parts using thermosets, thermoplastics, composites, and/or metals. Thanks to our footprint in Europe, North America, and the Maghreb, we are able to meet all our clients’ needs.
Railway component
We develop structural, safety, or aesthetic parts, both infrastructure-based and onboard, from design through to production.
Our technologies
Thermoset
Thermosets are particularly durable materials, well suited to demanding environments thanks to their ability to withstand mechanical, climatic, and thermal stresses (injection, compression, injection-compression, thermoset machining).
Thermoplastic / Composite
Plastics and composites, which are easy to shape and rich in properties, are essential everyday materials used across numerous fields (thermoplastic and composite injection, bi- or tri-material injection, stamping, metal and composite insert overmolding, IML/IMD).
Machining
Machining is an ideal process for manufacturing small production runs, optimizing costs and return on investment (machining of thermoplastics, thermosets, composites, carbon, and aluminum).
Metal Engineering / Metalloplastics
Metal, thanks to its strength and robustness, is an essential material for manufacturing technical parts, offering reliability, performance, and great design flexibility (precision stamped parts, assemblies, bent and cambered parts, metal springs).
Additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing enables the production of custom-made parts, making it ideal for small series, with comprehensive support from design through to production (SLS (powder), MJ (resin), FDM (filaments)).
