CLAYENS announces the acquisition of the aeronautical activities of GAUZY SAS/VISION SYSTEMS and launches CLAYENS AEROSPACE, a dedicated sub-brand built on world-leading expertise in thermoset, injection molding and thixomolding solutions

GENAS, FRANCE, 29 May 2026 - On 19 May 2026, the Lyon Commercial Court designated the CLAYENS group as the buyer of the aerospace activities of GAUZY SAS and in particular its subsidiary VISION SYSTEMS, based in Brignais (Rhône). This strategic transaction significantly strengthens the French industrial group's presence in the Aerospace & Defense sector and also supports the development of its dedicated CLAYENS AEROSPACE brand.

A strategic transaction to accelerate in aerospace

With this acquisition, CLAYENS continues its development strategy in high value-added industrial markets. The scope acquired includes several recognized activities established within the aerospace industry. VISION SYSTEMS has been a reference player in cockpit solar protection systems for more than 30 years, positioning the company as a leader in this market. In a diversification and innovation logic, VISION SYSTEMS has also developed cabin solar protection solutions for business aviation, commercial aviation and releasable frame glazing for helicopters.

This acquisition reflects CLAYENS' ambition to strengthen its exposure to high value-added aerospace markets and consolidate its portfolio of technology activities, while accelerating the rollout and visibility of the Clayens Aerospace brand, launched last year to structure and embody the group's ambition in this sector.

Already an industrial partner of major international OEMs (Airbus, Dassault Aviation, Safran, Collins Aerospace, MBDA, KNDS…), CLAYENS thereby strengthens its position among the sector's leading industrial suppliers in Europe and North America.

Preserving industrial know-how

Beyond industrial assets, the transaction aims to preserve the technical skills and know-how of VISION SYSTEMS teams, considered essential in a highly regulated and technology-intensive aerospace environment. The project provides for safeguarding 210 jobs, i.e. 100% of aerospace headcount, with priority given to continuity of industrial and commercial activities currently operated by VISION SYSTEMS. Progressive integration of the activities within the group should also create industrial and technological synergies, particularly in technical materials, complex assemblies and high value-added transformation processes, in line with the development momentum of CLAYENS AEROSPACE.

We are pleased to welcome the VISION SYSTEMS and GAUZY SAS teams to CLAYENS. Beyond the industrial transaction, it is above all a meeting of complementary know-how and women and men committed to demanding trades. Our priority is simple: ensure continuity of activities, preserve existing skills and build the future together, progressively and concretely, in service of our customers and our aerospace markets.

- Eric Pisani, President of the CLAYENS group

All CLAYENS teams also welcome the employees, customers and partners of VISION SYSTEMS and GAUZY SAS to its international organization.
